Biographie
He joined Ferdi as a Research Assistant in 2015 after earning a Master's degree in Law, Economics and Management, with a specialization in Public Finance in Developing Countries.
He is now a Research Officer specializing in extractive taxation and the modelling of mining and petroleum resource rent sharing in Africa. He has worked extensively on the tax legislation and regulatory frameworks of more than 25 African countries. Together with the Ferdi team, he has conducted comprehensive studies on the extractive tax systems of several countries, including Senegal, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo. He also oversees the development and maintenance of Ferdi's website dedicated to mining taxation in Africa. In addition, he is responsible for training programmes at Ferdi's Institute for Advanced Studies in Sustainable Development (IHEDD). His work also focuses on the identification and budgetary evaluation of tax expenditures.
He is an expert on mining taxation issues in Africa and on modelling the mineral resource rent sharing from the tax law of African countries. He oversees the development and updating of the Ferdi website dedicated to the taxation of mining industries in Africa. He also works on the evaluation of tax expenditures.
